HELSINKI, Finland – March 28, 2013 -- Magnus Thordstein, Associate Professor of Clinical Neurophysiology at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Sweden and an NBS System user since 2006, has authored a detailed article on navigated TMS which has recently been published by the weekly newspaper Läkartidnigen (online dates 26 March 2013). The article is in Swedish only. The English summary is given as:

"Navigated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (nTMS) is a technology that can be used for, compared to earlier technology, more precise non-invasive stimulation of the central nervous system in humans. The navigation constitutes an improvement of the diagnostic and therapeutic potential of the TMS technology. This provides increased opportunities for successful physiological studies, preoperative investigations and treatment of central nervous dysfunctions giving rise to motor deficit, tinnitus or central pain."
